As part of a wireless monitoring system, the Sensory Advanced
Notification and Detection (SAND) system can monitor the status of a
HEP filter bank, dust collector, or other HVAC equipment.
SAND provides 24/7 monitoring and automatic alarm routing service.
The transmitter is powered by building power. In the event of a
power loss, a battery backup enables the transmission of an alert
message. The system can monitor a wide array of additional
customer-designated alarms such as:
-
Equipment general fault alarm
-
Equipment safety shutdown
-
High/low temperature setpoint exceeds range
-
Motor failure
-
Power failure
-
Power restored
When an alarm is triggered, the GN-2 sends the alert
message to selected recipients by pager (alphanumeric or numeric),
fax, e-mail, XML, PCS or telephone (voice delivery).
In addition, the GN-2 transmitter sends a daily "heartbeat" to
confirm system is operational.
In the event a unit fails to send a heartbeat, a message is
automatically sent to the designated recipient. |
